Nafl Salat of Tawaf And Sai
Q. What do respectable scholars of lslam say about the following issue? Is it necessary to perform nafl after every tawaaf and like the nafl tawaaf can we perform the nafl sai and is it necessary to perform nafl after sai?
بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم
الجواب بعون الملک الوھاب اللھم ھدایہ الحق والصواب
after one has performed the Tawaaf it is wajib (necessary) to offer two rakaat of salah of Tawaaf no matter which type of Tawaaf he has performed. it is sunnah that if it is not the disapproved time (Makruh time) then the namaz should be performed quit after the Tawaaf and if one didn’t perform it then whenever he performs it in his entire lifetime it will be counted as performed but by delaying it one has erred because a sunnah has been omitted
And like nafl Tawaaf it is not allowed to perform nafl sai because it is not permissible in shari’a and after sa’i if it is not in the Makruh time then it is better to go into the masjid and to perform two rakaat of namaz there.

”وعلیہ لکل اسبوع رکعتان،لباب،واطلق الاسبوع فشمل طواف الفرض والواجب والسنۃ والنفل“
In all Seven round of Tawaaf it is necessary to perform two rakaat and tawaf is mentioned unconditionally so it includes faraz, wajib, sunnah or nafl Tawaaf.

It is mentioned In Lubab ul manasik
”وهي ” أى صلاة الطواف واجبة بعد كل طواف فرضًا كان أو واجبًا ، أو سنة أو نفلاً “
it is wajib to offer two rakaat after every Tawaaf rather it is farz, wajib, sunnah or nafl.

It is mentioned In bahar e shariyat
It is sunnah that if it is not the disapproved time (Makruh time) then the namaz should be performed quit after the Tawaaf there should be no delay and if one did not perform it then whenever he will perform it in his entire life it will be counted as being performed but by delaying it one ddid wrong because a sunnat has been omitted.

”والسعی من واجبات الحج والعمرۃ فقط ووھذا الطواف تطوّع فلا سعی بعدہ۔ قال فی الشرنبلالیۃ عن الکافی:لانّ التنفّل بالسعی غیر مشروع “
Sai is from wajibat of Hajj and Umrah only and this tawaf is nafl there is no Sai after it . it is mentioned in sharhnablia coated from book kafi because nafl sai doesnot exist in shariya.

It is mentioned In Fatawa Hindiya
”وإذا فرغ من السعي يدخل المسجد ويصلي ركعتين“
When he completed sai he should go to Masjid and offer two rakaat.

”قال الحصكفي: وندب ختمه (السعي) بركعتين في المسجد كختم الطواف“
imam Haskafi said: it is better (Mustahab ) to complete sai by offering two rakaat like after Tawaaf.

If it is not Makruh time, it is better to go to the masjid Shareef after the completion of the sa’i and to perform two rakaat of namaz there.
